Homework
Students will be assigned homework Monday through Thursday. Fifth Graders will be assigned up to 60 minutes of homework each day. Please do not exceed 60 minutes. Daily homework will include: math, vocabulary and reading. Students will also be assigned social studies and science homework as needed.
As our 5th graders prepare for middle school, it is critical that they spend time each night completing assigned homework. Additionally, they are working on organizational and study habits that will carry them through the rest of their educational experience. As such, please support your child as they choose a study location and time and establish routines that will become study habits in the months to come.
Students are responsible for writing down their homework in their planners each day. Assignments will be posted on our class website as well. Incomplete or missing homework will be highlighted in student planners. Parents must sign the planners every night. Please help remind your child to be responsible and remember to complete and return homework to school!
